Vishnu Netralaya was established and inaugurated on 6th of November 2002 at Patna . After functioning for about two and a half years it was shifted to the Steel City of Jamshedpur ,Jharkhand. It was inaugurated at Jamshedpur on 10th of July 2005 by the then DC of East Singhbhum, Dr Nitin Madan Kulkarni.
Vishnu Netralaya had the distinction of being the first private Eye Care Centre that had both OPD and OT set-up under one roof in 2005 in the city. Another first for the city was establishment of the 1st Retina unit including Fundus Fluorescein Angiography, Retinal Laser and Retinal detachment Surgery.
